Pacha Mama●

Coast path, 15 min east of Pokonji Dol, just before Mekićevica

beach club · on foot or by boat · quiet in high season · local fish
View from a canopy bed at Pacha Mama — white curtains, lemonade on the cushion, a boat and the pontoon in the turquoise bay below

Pacha Mama is the beach club for those who walk a little further. From Pokonji Dol the path follows the sea east, dips into the woods and comes out a quarter of an hour later, just before Mekićevica bay, among more than a hundred olive trees above the water. It stays quiet even in high season: hammocks in the shade, canopy beds on the rocks, sunbeds by the sea. Below, a pontoon reaches into the water; if you come by boat, the two mooring buoys are free for guests; call ahead and they keep one for you. Since 2018 Manuela Delise has cooked here, Mediterranean and with produce from the island: locally caught octopus and bluefin tuna, clams in white wine, pasta of the day, grilled lamb and the catch of the day. Come for brunch, lunch or an early dinner; tables can be booked online, and walk-ins are welcome. A beach club with a very good restaurant, and the walk back along the shore at dusk is part of the evening.
